Any chance to get driving directions along with traffic info merged into this great little program?

Agreed on the directions request. Right now, when you click on the (A) placemarker, you just see "You" -- standard googlemaps behavior, of course, would be to show "Get directions: To here - From here" underneath that.

All in all, a simple and great little application. I've been googling around, and haven't seen much that's comperable.
