After playing around with the modifications 'thatmonkey' made I was able to tweak it a bit and got it working in Firefox on the Mac (OS 10.4.10 MacBook Pro)!!

Here's my setup:

MacBook Pro C2D
DeLORME BT-20 (Bluetooth GPS receiver)
default install of Python (I'm assuming?)
pyserial 2.2
Firefox 2.0.0.4

I've only tested it for a few minutes but it's been working great so far! With Glen's permission and if anyone's interested I'd be happy to post the code.

I'd love to give the mac version a try, are you still planning on posting it?

I too would like to have this running on an Intel Mac -- it'd made driving around in the van, where we've got Internet, tons more fun;-) sciman@csupomona.edu
